In Chapter 11 of our step-by-step guide, we will now finally fuse Dark Ifrit (Veromos). After days/weeks of farming the fusion materials, we will get to see how he fairs in your game progression. From here onward, we will use him in place of Lapis to farm reliably in GB8 with a little over 3 minutes per run. Previously, our runs were over 4 mins and a bit unreliable. The purpose of farming here is to improve our current runes to prepare and beat GB10 in auto, which we are really close to! so hang in there, hold your horses as we upgrade your monster arsenal.

With Veromos now in action, we open up new areas to conquer. One of these is the Trial of Ascension. What makes ToA worthwhile to farm is it gives out special rewards after defeating the boss every 10 stages. Among those are Devilmon, L&D scroll, and Legendary scroll. Not only that but ToA is a good source of crystals. With our current core team, we will try how far can we clear and get those rewards.

So here we go!

 

Fusing Veromos

Arguably the best monster you can get from the monster fusion. Following the guide, he will likely be your first 6* monster. He excels pretty much everywhere early-on, with usage in all Cairos Dungeons, ToA, PvP and even as a fodder farmer (I use him to farm Hydeni Ruins Stage 5 Hell). He’s definitely a worthwhile investment to make in terms of time, resources and devilmons!

Why did we choose to fuse him first? Not Sigmarus, Katarina or Fire Panda? First, Veromos is an amazing monster for both GB10 and DB10 especially for starting players.

# 1: With a cleanse every turn, it effectively makes the defense breaks in GB10 and the DoTs in DB10 far less scary than they normally are.

# 2: Veromos has a good AoE stun rate on his 2nd Skill for crowd-control and a decent 75% chance to DoT on his 1st when maxed.

# 3: He offers a great leader skill, which boosts the overall survivability of your team by a considerable amount.

Newer players should build Veromos on Swift to make him as fast as possible. Only when you get a GOOD set of Violent runes should you make the transition. For the majority of early-game players, Veromos is pretty much vital in starting GB10 and DB10.

Improving your GB8 runs

Previously we are using Lapis to farm GB8, and since it is a Wind stage she is at a disadvantage that made little use of her damage and CC potential. So as a countermeasure, we will replace her for Veromos. Using the recommended stats above, it should be convincing enough that your run time should improve. Damage-over-time is surely a great way to kill the boss faster, this strategy also applies with DB10 and NB10 so take note!

The current support monsters should be enough to handle GB8 boss. Just make sure to +12 runes that have are at least 5* and with ideal substats. Check out the GB8 lineup and their stats:

Using your core team in Trial of Ascension

SW ch11 ToA

Trial of Ascension (ToA) is a PVE game content with various rewards upon completing certain floors/stage. Unlocked at Level 15, ToA has 100 Floors and increases in difficulty as you advance further. Players must complete each floor to advance on top. Now with Veromos in our monster list, we can use our GB8/10 core team to clear some floors and get awesome rewards. First let’s try ToA normal.

Each floor there are 3 waves of monsters with mini-boss on last wave. The main strategy for ToA is Crowd Control (CC) and Damage Over Time (DOT). Enemy units especially on higher floors deal huge damage and high HP so it is important to keep them down and deal continuous damage (-5% HP) per turn. Familiar which monster has DOT and CC potential? Exactly! None other than Veromos.

Rune Requirements: (Same as your current Giants core team)

Results: Floors 1-49 is autoable, 50F can be cleared on either manual or auto depending on ToA season/monthly rotation. Toa (Hard) up to 30F. Rewards claimed as below.

  • 64x Summoning stones
  • 205 Crystals
  • 200 Energy
  • 2x 3* Max Rainbowmon
  • 4 Mystical Scrolls

In the future as we form our DB10 team, we will try to clear ToA 100 and get more awesome rewards like Devilmons, Light& Darkness scroll and Legendary scroll. In the meantime, make sure that you clear these 50 floors (Normal) and 30 floors (Hard) every ToA reset. As you progress and boost your monster’s capabilities, you can try clearing the higher floors. Game Progression Guide

Key Monsters to Level Up:

  • Veromos 5* Max
  • 5* fodders to 6* Veromos

Resource Management

  • Farm ToA up to 50F (Normal) and 30F (Hard) at the very least based on the current capabilies of your monsters.
  • Try clearing the 10F of Element halls using your current core team + 1 Friend Rep. Each hall will give you 150 crystal reward for a total of 750 crystals on your first completion.

  • Keep an eye on 6* Hero and Legend runes on Magic Shop. Buy when it fits the desired stats.
  • Sell 4* Rare runes if they are slots 1/3/5. Keep usable 4* Rare runes with ideal stats from slot 2/4/6. Keep 5* usable runes.
  • Remember to collect guaranteed crystals from defeating your rivals every time they are up.
  • Rune power-up priority: Slots 2,4 and 6. Keep 4* and 5* runes to +12. Save Mana Stones for 6* runes.
  • Only power-up runes to +12 if they are at least 4* and with good stats/substats.
  • Collect rewards from Events, they give plenty of resources.
  • Continue upgrading your Sanctum of Energy, Mysterious Plant and Sky Tribe Totem.

    Should i still 6* veromos first if i got lushen, because i don’t know if lushen is better to 6* first.
    I got pretty good runes on him too.

      lushen should be more efficient to 6*, veromos can stay 5* since his passive is the only thing you need from him

    Hi! Awesome guide 🙂 this has given me alot of direction!
    Can I get some feedback on my team? I get really close to gb9 auto, but cant quite finish the boss

      try swapping vero with lulu, if your problem is sigmarus always taking def break and always low on hp, lulu can heal and give immunity

    I auto GB10 but I can’t do TOAH 50 (I’m not even close do clear it)
    maybe you should put this TOAH step in a further chapter..

    If you can farm DB7, farm DB7, if not, farm Mt. White Ragon Hell 7.

    I think you should hold off with using Lushen and Teshar until you transition into using a speed team.

    Hey Evan! I’m not DK but I can offer my help!

    You have to build that Darion! He is an awesome monster for GB10! Storage is not enough for him! Building him is definitely worth it! He is great for Raids, GB10 and Arena Defense.

    Ahman is good for starting out for GB10, but honestly, Darion is a much better option.

    Just save Feng Yan for Guild Wars and Necro.

    I built Olivia because she had a similar skillset to Shannon as well, and it was not worth it. If you want a duplicate for Shannon, just use Megan.
