Dungeons: Like the other AoE bombers, Jojo doesn’t really do that well in Cairos Dungeons as his bombs (which takes up valuable time to detonate) does not contribute as much as normal nukers. There isn’t really a reason for anyone to use bombers besides Seara in dungeons.
Raids: With the boss immune to DoTs and his bombs being easily cleansed without a proper detonator, Jojo only brings a health block to the boss. As such, with his main source of damage gone, you should not being using him here.
ToA: Jojo works well in a ToA setting, be it for ToAN or ToAH. His Dots serves as a stun against the trash waves and a good deal of damage against the bosses. With his 3rd Skill landing a pseudo-Baretta AoE DoT, he can fit in pretty well in your ToA team.
PvP: While Jojo’s bombs does a good deal of damage due to ignoring the enemy’s defense, it must be mentioned that for a bomber, he has by far the lowest base attack in the game, being close to 150 base attack lower than any other bomber. As such, he is very likely replaced as soon as you can get a better alternative (i.e. Liebli, Malaka, Taurus or Dover). On the plus side, Jojo’s stronger supportive stats makes him much tankier than the aforementioned monsters, making him easier to survive if paired with a monster like Megan.
How to Counter
Veromos, Konamiya and Delphoi are all great counters to Jojo due to their cleanses. As long as you have immunity in your team, it is pretty difficult for Jojo to do any substantial damage. However, you should prioritize killing him as soon as you can, as an un-timed bomb can still kill some of your squishier targets.
- As his bomb has an in-built 50% accuracy to it, you only need around 35% accuracy for his bombs to be reliable. You should stack the rest of his stats purely into attack and speed after that.
There is a reason why the most accessible bomber is also the weakest. Bombers, while offering very useful kits, are pretty hard to deal with for newer players without any form of cleansers. While Jojo’s an excellent starting bomber for your teams, it can be difficult to use him as much as you’d like, as there will be an increasing number of Veromos and Konamiya in the early ranks of PvP. For those looking to skill something up with the February 2017 HoH for Sian, I don’t recommend using them on Jojo and instead save it for either Lushen, one of the best nukers in the game, or Liebli, the best AoE bomber in the game.
- The skill Fire Magic targets all enemy monsters.
- Only farmable bomber in the game (Fusable)
- In-built accuracy in 2nd Skill makes him easy to rune
- Decent AoE damage on 3rd Skill
- Higher base speed than the Kobold Bombers
- Good defensive stats
- Lowest base attack of any bomber in the game
- Defensive monster makes his stats skewed towards it, even though it doesn’t - synergies with the rest of his skills
