Dungeons:
  • GB10 – (Not Recommended) Ophilia offers little to none and is also an element disadvantage.
  • DB10 – (Not Recommended) Although a good tank, Ophilia offers no utility against the boss.
  • NB10 – (Not recommended) Single-hit attacks and and 0 utility.
Scenario:

(Rating: 6.0/10) Can sustain and definitely clear stages but on a very slow clear time.

Raids: 
  • R5 – (Not recommended) No debuffs to mitigate damage and only shields herself from attacks.
  • Element Rift Beasts – (Not recommended) Ophilia does not make a good teammate in Rifts (Low total score)
ToA: 

(Not Recommended) Other units outshine Ophilia. Overall isn’t effective on PvE contents.

PvP: 

(Rating: 8.5/10) Similar to other Paladins, Ophilia shines most in PvP battles. But what separates her is that she has a self-immunity buff when 1st skill is cast which is a good counter for enemy attackers (set-up Def breaks). Unlike Leona who is more of an offensive type, Ophilia works best on Defensive situations. Her 3rd skill activates a buff to herself where the enemies can only target her on the next 3 consecutive attack turns. This is a very useful skill to protect squishy nukers such as Theomars, Perna, Laika and alike. Ophilia also has a single target cleanse and invincibility buff to counter offensive CC teams and a good combo to Katarina.

How to Counter:

While Ophilia is expected to be speedy, she is still behind speed buffers like Bernard, Megan, Kabilla, etc. The key is to always kill her within the first 2~3 turns and it is better achieved when the attacker is faster than the defense units. On AI mechanics, the primary objective on her 1st turn is to activate the 3rd skill. But remember that she does not acquire the immunity buff yet because she has to cast the 1st skill to receive it. During those crucial turns, apply DEF break or continuously CC her so she can’t move. Just be careful because her base HP and DEF are high and it usually take multiple hits to bring her down. If your team choose to attack second, you would want to bring a buff stripper to continuously remove the immunity. Despite her excellent supporting skills, Ophila’s attack is a minimal threat and does not deal huge/fatal damage as a solo unit.

Other advice:
  • Speedy Ophilia is good so she can use her 3rd skill often (The counter also stack). Viiolent runes won’t affect the 3rd skill buff timer because it does not count down from her number of turns but your opponent’s.
  • Target at least 180 spd to make her effective in PvP Defense.
  • AOE attacks are a counter to Ophilia’s threat state buff. When the buff is activated and your enemy then casts an AOE skill, it will still give damage to all monsters affected by the skill.
Editor’s Note:

Ophilia is a Defensive unit that allows you to bring squishy units in your DEF team. 3rd skill Cry of Threat gives her a buff that will only allow the enemy units to attack her on the next 3 turns (This diverts the enemies attention from killing potential threats who are usually squishy). You can only counter this skill if you remove the buff from her. Due to her valuable skill kit, she is one of the top Defensive units in Arena and Guild battles. Definitely worth investing your Devilmons to max her skills.
