Site Review

Dungeons: Offers a very useful leader skill in DB10 (assuming you don’t have Verdehile). Perna’s passive healing, self-revive and strong damage makes it a strong contender for your nuker role in your DB10 team

  • While not often touched upon, Perna’s kit helps to increase the speed of your Elemental Dungeon speed teams.
  • Not useful in GB10 due to its elemental weakness against the boss
  • Avoid use in NB10 due to the lack of multi-hitting skills and high chance of a wipe if it were to be stolen by the boss

Raids: Despite the lack of any useful debuffs, Perna fulfills its role in new Raid teams due to its passive healing and damage. It is however recommended to swap it out for a better Raid attacker when you can.  

ToA: A decent choice for a ToAN team, its passive helps your team survive attacks for newer players while serves as a strong nuker for the faster, more advanced teams. Not recommended to be used in ToAH though.

PvP: The area which Perna shines the most. It can be found in many defenses due to its strong passive and well-known constant self-revives due to violent procs and sustain. For your offenses, it is always an option to run a full damage team (with no healers) as Perna’s passive heal and self-revive allows your team to sustain itself longer compared to traditional teams.

Other advice:

  • A common misconception is that its 2nd Skill scales off the Enemy’s Max HP (similar to Sigmarus’ 3rd Skill). However, please note that the multiplier is scaled entirely off the current Enemy’s HP % instead.
  • If used in AD or GD, Perna is often one of the first threats the enemy will try to take out. It is a near must to be built on Will runes if used later on.
  • Perna’s skills synergizes extremely well with Violent runes. Both its attacks are able to deal strong damage while the procs significantly reduces the waiting time to recharge its self-revive.
  • It is important to build Perna tanky and fast too in order to take advantage of the self-revive.

Pros

– Good sustain
– 2nd Skill has one of the highest multipliers in the game
– Enormous 44% Attack leader skill
– Very high base Attack, especially after taking into account its “HP” Monster Type
– Consistent AoE heal for your team, do not underestimate this
– One of the best Self-Revives in the game

Cons

– Lacks AoE damage
– Extremely poor base Defense makes it susceptible to nukers, even with its high base HP
– Understandably high cooldown for its Self-Revive (8 turns)
– Passive does not work against Anti-Revivers such as Raki, Avaris and Mara
