(Rating 9.5/10) 3rd skill is almost a guaranteed stun with multiple chances to activate. 2nd skill resets the skill cooldown of your enemies, useful against bosses that rely on skills for damage.

(Rating: 10/10) Okeanos shines most in PVP contents making him a huge threat for your enemies. With defensive will runes in the current Arena meta, Okeanos 2nd skill removes 1 beneficial effect at the same time resetting its cooldown. He is a hard counter for units that are reliant on 2nd and 3rd skills such as Seara, Zaiross, Tiana, Velajuel and the likes. When enemies don’t have immunity, his 3rd skill is a reliable CC that gives 25% ATB increase for every unit stunned. 1st skill is also very convenient in case you have debuffs, Okeanos can transfer them to your enemies instead. When max skilled, 2nd skill is a 3-turn cooldown and 3rd skill becomes 4-turn cooldown. Violent set is highly recommended to quickly refresh these cooldowns.

How to Counter:

Okeanos is a troublesome monster to counter. First, he is more of a utility instead of attack type. Even as attack, his base HP and DEF are quite high so he is hard to deal with. With that being said, as an attack unit he has mediocre damage. But before thinking about countering him, you should look at the enemy lineup first. If the team has no immunity, you can outspeed them with your team and nuke Okeanos down with def break and hits. Otherwise, if you choose to tank and counter the 1st turn, make sure your team has immunity and equipped with multiple buffs. Okeanos 2nd skill only removes 1 buff before reset, so if you have will and shield buff he may remove the shield first thus resisting the reset. This strategy is useful if you want to go on long battles, so make sure you bring a sustain too.

Other advice:
  • With additional Crit Rate when awakened, focus on your HP, DEF and Accuracy stats being 40%+. You should lean on for the high stun chance and skill accuracy since skill reliability is an important factor for win rate. Just allocate CR and ATK subs to make him a threat.
Editor’s Note:

Okeanos is a stun machine in PVP. With a high reliability on 3rd skill to stun you don’t need Despair runes to be effective, instead Violent set is a good option because it goes well with his short skill cooldowns. When he gains attack bar from 3rd skill stuns, he can potentially move twice in one go, then use 2nd skill on units like Seara, Zaiross, Perna, Theo, Psamathe and the likes. Although an attack type monster, Okeanos is more suited as a speedy utility with high accuracy. He is able to transfer debuffs which can be game changing at times. Another use for this monster is ToA. His 2nd skill is good for boss stages and 3rd skill for CC. With these reasons, Okeanos is worth your Devilmons to reduce skill cooldowns.
