Site Review

Dungeons: There isn’t really a place for Conrad in dungeons apart from being a squishy reviver here. Even then, while he can help revive a fallen teammate during the trash waves, the reviving condition makes it so that its useless in the boss stage. The only thing he brings is a general speed leader, but that simply isn’t enough for him to be an effective monster in any team. You shouldn’t be using Conrad over here, period.

Raids: While he does offer a good heal block and attack break, the rest of his family does the exact same thing too. Since there’s only one enemy to target, his 3rd Skill isn’t anything special apart from an 820% multiplier. Both Dias and Briand outclass Conrad as Death Knights in Raids, and most nukers will deal much more damage than him here.

ToA: The only way you can use Conrad here is as a Despair nuker thanks to the AoE on his 2nd Skill. It can actually be pretty effective since he also applies a good elementally neutral AoE attack break to the enemies. However, Briand does the same thing, if not better since his 2nd Skill scales off his great base HP. Beyond that, his revive doesn’t really come into play that much, so think of him more as a non-elemental disadvantaged nuker than anything else.

PvP: In terms of viability, this is the only place Conrad can actually shine, and he shines as much as a dirty shoe. His powerful multiplier is greatly held back by his poor base attack, making the damage decent at best. No one will build Conrad on tanky either, so the pure HP-scaling on his 2nd pretty irrelevant. However, he does have a useful 19% speed leader skill, which can be used if you’re lacking other speed leaders in your PvP Offense team. He isn’t worth building for any player that already has a similar or better nuker, but he can work for newer players since the speed leader, awakening bonus and lack of elemental weakness in attacks makes him easy to rune.

How to Counter

The main plus side Conrad has is that he’ll attack just about anybody, so if he’s fast it can be rather difficult to counter. Unlike all the other Death Knights though, Conrad is more attack-based, so he won’t have a high amount of HP like Briand or Dias. Most of your nukers should be able to easily one-shot him if you can get a defense break or attack buff.

Other advice:

  • Rage works much better than Fatal on Conrad due to his poor base attack
  • Even with his speed leader, it’s still good to have speed on Conrad. Aim for as much as you can in the substats

Editor’s Note

Conrad just isn’t that useful right now. His main selling point, his revive and shield, aren’t very unreliable since his damage isn’t spectacular. If you’re looking for a reviver, Briand already does a much better job than him. You should consider Conrad as a standard Light nuker first, with the reviver and shield just being a bonus. For now, I highly recommend just putting Conrad right into your storage until he gets a buff. He doesn’t have anything that stands out enough to spend the resources and effort to build him.

Pros

– Powerful multiplier on 3rd Skill
– Crit rate on awakening makes him easy to rune
– Great speed leader skill for PvP use

Cons

– Poor base attack makes him hard to use
– 2nd Skill scales off HP, which doesn’t do that much for him
– Shield isn’t that useful against stronger threats
– Base HP and defense isn’t that good despite the low base attack
