Leader Skill: Increase the Critical Rate of ally monsters in the Arena by 24%.

Skill 1: Crescent Moon Slash [(150% – 290%)ATK x 2]: Attacks the enemy 2 times and deals more damage when the enemy’s HP is low. Attacks together with Boomerang Warrior during her turn if she’s included in the ally team.

Skill 3:Deadly Dance [380%ATK]: Attacks an enemy target 2 times and the damage dealt to the enemy with half or less HP increases by 50%. The damage that Boomerang Warrior inflicts on the target increases by 50% when they attack together. (Reusable in 5 turns)

Site Review

Overview:  When the twins first came out, they were absolutely fantastic for clearing dungeons but were deemed too overpowered (when brining an entire team of Boomerang Warriors) and were shortly after – nerfed to oblivion (combo only allows for 1 Boomerang to be brought along now). At best, the twins combos are mostly mediocre now and most players would probably be skeptical in investing devilmons into at Nat 4 monster/ combo as they don’t all provide any over-the-top specialty or any PVP superiority over Nat 5 teams.

Talia’s second skill (Spirit Focus) acts quite differently from the rest of the elemental Chakra dancers and acts similar to Dark/Wind Assasin’s second skill where it increases Attack power and gives an immediate turn afterwards – but instead of the critical rate boost, Talia provides a full self cleanse on herself. Though looking at her skill set, Talia seems to side towards a full DPS build and in such the case, critical boost would probably have been the better fit. Although, granted this skill could prove useful with the cleanse midway through battles, but as an opener, chances are that you’d probably wouldn’t expect to be suffering from any negative/harmful effects, otherwise there’s a high chance she already died with her Nat 4 Chakram Dancer base stats. Her third skill can pack quite a punch of damage when coupled with a well set-up Boomerang Warrior and with already armor broken opponents. This however is an odd set up if you had to bring an armor breaker with a support kit for heals and sustain for a GW/SW format.

Dungeons: Before the nerf, they were an absolute beast for dungeons and were clearing record times. The twins combo is still Viable for Necro10 and DB10 partnered with a good Boomerang counterpart.

TOA: Not extremely useful for TOA Hard, but might be a good pick up for TOA normal provided Talia is set-up with impressive runes and fully skilled.

Raids: Talia does not provide the damage or support skills that are essential for effective raid compositions. Not recommended. For Rifts, Talia might be useful only for Dark Rift.

PvP Arena: Talia does provide a 24% Critical lead for Arena that might make up for the lack of critical rate from the second skill, and since Arena allows for full team set-up unlike RTA. You do have the option of bringing Talia with a Boomerang Warrior for the added twins bonus. Though it’s highly recommended at the top-tier level that you have extremely fast runes and utilize her as a full offensive unit. But as Arena clearing is mostly geared towards AOE damage and quick clears, a combo with Talia probably won’t be efficient for either Arena Rush or even just for clearing wings, as picking off your opponents one-by-one is the least efficient way of success.

PvP RTA: Unfortunately, during the Ban Phase, most RTA opponents probably won’t let you go through/get away with both a Charkam Dancer and a Boomerang Warrior and essentially banning one of them to reduce the risk of being run-over. Opponents wil understand that without their counterpart, they are not great monsters without their other half. Though as a stand alone monster, Talia does provide teams with her Critical Rate buff and acts as a single target damage dealer. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem like Talia will change any current top-tier metas at the moment with her current skill set.

PVP GW/SW: Same game plan applies in this format however minus any leader buff attributes. As a lot of defenses in this format are either extremely fast or tanky, you’ll have to adjust accordingly to how you want to play with the twins with either a shield-will set up or with a stripper/ATB booster to guarantee first turn. However, it’s not highly unreasonable to believe that Talia just isn’t quite the best choice as a Chakram Dancer for either of these formats. It may take some experimentation and juggling around but even her third skill has a condition that it only produces 50%extra damage if the enemy has half or less HP. If you do the math, and consider that GW/SW defenses are mostly and often times consist of Bruiser type or high HP support monsters, Talia’s skill doesn’t necessarily help right off the bat where you want to essentially erase a target off the board to greater your chances of success. And in most cases, if you actually allow the enemy to move first while using the twins combo, you’ll probably be 1) playing catch up for the rest of the match and 2) lose.

How To Counter: Firstly, banning any of her sibling counterparts will effectively reduce their capabilities together in RTA. But overall, Talia is quite squishy with her low base HP and can easily be taken down. With her middle grade base speed, she wont’ be out-speeding any opponents alone. And as long as you maintain a healthy and sustained group with support buffs such as immunity or even defense, Talia probably won’t be very effective.

  1. Works well with Bastet and Megan for ATB and ATK Power boost
  2. Mediocre to decent all around Base Stats. A little low on the base HP.
  3. Choice of Boomerang Warrior to pair her with will depend on opponents team composition
