Site Review

Dungeons: When Soha was buffed to remove harmful effect on allies, she is now a decent monster for DB10. Of course, Soha is still inferior to Veromos in terms of cleansing DoTs, but she’s a decent choice as a Water nuker after you’ve found a stable team. With a chance to freeze on her first, strong multiplier on her second and a strip on her third, she may very well be the missing piece you need for your team. However, if you already have someone like Megan in your team, most nukers like the Water Homunculus or Theomars will likely be better options.

  • Soha is actually an incredible fodder farmer for newer players. With a shield on her second skill and an AoE damage on her 3rd, she’s a great monster with low rune requirements to be effective in a Faimon run. Depending on your rune quality, she can easily clear Faimon Normal to Hell. Furthermore, while it will definitely help her out in the long run, Soha doesn’t really need skill ups to shine that much if you’re just using her as a farmer.

Raids: With absolutely zero utility and debuffs in a raids run, Soha doesn’t even come close as a potential choice in raids. Don’t bother using her here, even Theomars has far more uses for this aspect of the game.

ToA: While she can serve as a general stripper in ToA, it’s very unlikely you’ll need her kit here. If you’re in need of a stripper for ToAN, your rune quality likely means that you won’t be able to dish out a great amount of AoE damage, meaning a single-target buff remover such as Belladeon or Megan will be more than enough. Don’t use up one of your spots for her in place of a more useful monster.

PvP: In terms of complete strippers, the only Nat 4* and below monsters that offers an AoE strip is Aquila and Soha. As such, Soha may well be one of your very first AoE buff removers in your roster. You can choose to either run her as an attacker so she can also function as a fodder farmer, or as a support solely for PvP. Beyond her strip, her 2nd Skill does pretty impressive damage, with the total damage done directly converted into her shield. This means that if she does a 30k hit on full health, she’ll have a 30k shield for two turns. As such, coupling with her poor base Hp and defense stats, it isn’t really recommended for her to be built on support. Most players also run her on Despair, as the stun procs will activate AFTER the buff is removed, meaning there is a chance for her to stun an enemy while simultaneously removing their buffs.

How to Counter

With the ever-present chance of a Despair stun, the only true way to counter Soha is to outspeed the enemy team. You should bring your fastest attack bar booster, such as Bernard or Imesety, to get the first turn off and either kill Soha or the enemy’s main threat. Fortunately, as mentioned earlier, few players build her as a full-on tank, so it’s pretty easy to take her down before she can strip your team’s buffs.

Other advice:

  • Aim for at least 85% accuracy if you’re set on using her as your arena stripper
  • When you’re speed tuning her, she should always be the first in your team to get the move off. However, you shouldn’t build her too fast, lest she outspeed the enemy’s buffer like Chloes
  • Soha also functions as a pretty good monster for the Fire Beast if you have her 3rd Skill max. From some feedback of players, she seems to only use her AoE attack whenever the Fire Minions are out.

Editor’s Note

While Soha’s can be built both ways, I highly recommend building her on attack rather than support. Beyond her powerful shield buff on 2nd, she’s an amazing fodder farmer when built on attack, with an AoE damage that can likely wipe an enemy stage. True, her damage will be ineffective against a Chloe’s fanatic, but her overall utility as a farmer should not be neglected. On the other hand, if you’re fortunate to have another stripper like Aquila, he is definitely a better choice than Soha in a PvP setting due to his 2nd Skill’s buffs.

Additional Notes

  • Cleanse
    • This skill deals damage before removing beneficial effects.
    • If the skill successfully removes immunity, Despair rune set effect can stun the target.
