Site Review
Dungeons: Lushen is excellent in clearing trash mobs in dungeons especially non-fire ones(including Secret Dungeons). He is great in Giants B10 and Necro B10 because a well runed Lushen can makes quick work of trash monster waves with his two AoE abilities. His 2nd skill has a chance of applying a 3 turn slow debuff which is incredibly useful vs the enemy boss.
Raids: Lushen isn’t the best choice for raids because he has very low base HP and DEF stats. There are many other better alternatives such as Death Knights & Fire Harpu for Raids. If you’re opting for a fast defense ignoring monster, consider the recent Katarina / Chloe trend instead.
ToA: He might not be the best choice for ToA Hard mode due to his lack of Continuous Damage dealing spells, however Lushen is excellent for clearing endless waves of ToA normal trash mob. He’s one of the reason why ToA normal can be completed within 1-2 hours.
PvP: Lushen is without a doubt the king of Arena. His ability to completely decimate the opponent’s entire team with a single Amputation Magic is legendary. With the right team composition most players could use two Lushens to swiftly finish off enemy team within seconds. However, you do have to be wary of Nemesis healers such as Ariel and Praha, who can cut in-between your Lushens regardless of their speed and heal up from the damage of your first Lushen.
How to Counter : The best way to counter Lushen is to stop him from moving or tank through his damage. Lushens are rarely used on Arena or Guild War Defense but if they do, consider outspeeding him and kill him before he moves or just tank through his attacks with bruisers and heals. If you are setting an Arena Defense to avoid getting Lushened, consider using tanky Fire monsters like Chloe, Kumar, Perna, Juno, Fria, Sonora, Khmun. There are also ways to bait and counter Lushen teams too. Nemesisx2+Will healers(Praha, Ariel, Betta, Mihael, Bella) and aoe stunners(Verad, Veromos, Triton) are very effective Lushen counters.
Other Advice
- An ideal Lushen would need to have minimum 160 SPD, 2500 ATK, 70% CR and 150% CD.
- A great way to judge Lushens’ runes and their damage output is their damage of Amputation Magic. With full buffs 7000-8000 damage per card is consider average. 8000-10000 is considered good. Anything beyond is legendary.
- There are many ways to build lushen, strife for stats instead of the rune sets. Eg. Broken set or triple Energy Lushen with the right stats could potentially deal more damage than a Fatal Blade or Rage Blade one.
- If you’re running a Double Lushen team and have the runes to do so, consider making your second Lushen on Will, which can help save your arena comp against Despair monsters like Psamanthe or general stunners like Veromos from cutting in and disrupting your team.
- Bernard, Megan, Sieq, Qebehsenuef, Bastet, Leo, and a second Lushen are his best friends.
Editor’s Note
From start to beginning, Lushen’s one of the most game changing monsters you can get. Fodder farmer, speed dungeon clears and speed arena runs, Lushen can practically do anything. Even with his nerf awhile back that reduced his 3rd Skill’s multiplier, he still does an insane amount of damage. If you do have him, I highly recommend building him regardless of what stage of the game you’re at, you won’t regret it.

Additional Notes
- Surprise Box randomizes among 3 weakening effects only: Stun, Glancing Hit and Decrease SPD.
