Site Review

Dungeons: It’s pretty difficult to fit Taurus into your GB10 team, especially since pretty much any AoE wind nuker will do a better job than him. His AoE cooldown reset also doesn’t bring much to the table here, considering how non-potent most of the trash waves are. He should only be used very early on when you’re lacking options, where his ignore-defense bombs and stun can make it relatively safer and faster for your team to progress.

Raids: With cooldown resets having zero effect on the boss and bombers being useless apart from Seara, there shouldn’t even come a point in time where you’ll even consider using him here unless you’re still unsure of the raids mechanics.

ToA: Taurus is a decent bomber for your ToA teams, where his one-turn cooldown reset can come in handily, especially against passive-reliant monsters like the annoying quadruple Fria stage. A well-timed 3rd Skill can help your team leaps and bounds, especially for the majority of the players in the game who doesn’t own a Zaiross. If you have the runes and teammates for it, Taurus can be a very good choice here.

PvP: Taurus is definitely a much more PvP-centric monster than he is in PvE. He’s an excellent Theomars counter since his cooldown reset will prevent Theomars from activating his endure buff. For the same reasons, he also functions as a good Psamathe and Fria counter. However, it can be very tricky to use him against Perna, due to his probable death before he can get two turns off. Taurus is also heavily countered by Will runes unless you have a monster like Tiana to strip, so his uses are pretty limited past mid-game content. In general, the only players who should be using Taurus are either early-game players where Will runes aren’t prevalent, or for more advanced players where they have a reliable enough stripper for a bomber team to work.

How to Counter

Due to the Kobold Bomber’s family overall poor bulk, most players won’t use them in their defense apart from the occasional Seara-Malaka-Tiana comp you’ll find in an Arena Defense. Will runes essentially shuts Taurus down, so either get that or a good Will buffer like Delphoi or Chloe. As long as the enemy doesn’t have a Seara or any other notable debuffers, Veromos is a great choice for early-game players to counter his bombs.

Other advice:

  • Accuracy is extremely important for Taurus, more so than other bombers since you want his cooldown reset to land. Aim for 35% accuracy if you’re planning on using his leader skill. If not, 85% is the optimal amount you should strive for
  • End-game Taurus need to be built with a ton of speed, optimally close to 200 if you want him to be viable in Seara-Tiana comps

Editor’s Note

Taurus is the second weakest bomber in the game. If not for his saving grace (his cooldown reset), he’ll get looked over by everyone for his much more favourable Water counterpart, Malaka. Even then, his cooldown reset may not be reliable enough to warrant a use past mid-game, so think carefully if you want to build him.

A good standard bomber for most teams. Use him over Malaka only if you need his cooldown reset though

Comments Rating 5.5/10 (1 review)

– Accuracy leader makes him easy to rune
