Dungeons: Xing Zhe will rarely see uses in non-PvP settings. While he can be used as a decent attacker in your GB10 teams, his lack of AoE attacks makes him easily replaceable by other wind nukers such as Lushen and Akhamamir.
- As a wind single-hitting attacker, Xing Zhe should not be used in your DB10 or NB10 teams.
Raids: Xing Zhe can be used in early raid teams as a front-line bruiser due to his tankiness and consistent passive counterattacks (which isn’t added to the boss’ own revenge). However, his lack of any crucial debuffs besides his 2nd Skill’s armor break should only make him a substitute for a future, better frontline tank.
ToA: If you choose to build him as a nuker, he works as a good starting ToAN team attacker as his in-built tankiness lowers his rune requirements. If you are using him in this aspect, his stun counterattacks is definitely something that does not go unnoticed.
PvP: By far the place Xing Zhe shines the most. Xing Zhe can be built as an annoying stunner in bruiser defenses, with his 33% universal HP leader skill further bulking up his own survivability. Generally speaking, his versatility as a nuker or tanker in your defense can make him an enigma, making it difficult for some people to properly prepare a counter. With the prominence of Theomars, a single Xing Zhe will definitely make Theomars owners have second thoughts of using him, especially in guild wars. In late-game periods, Xing Zhe can also be built as a full on tank, with his passive and leader skills synergizing with stall teams in arena and bruiser comps in guild wars.
Other advice:
- Xing Zhe definitely requires his skills to be maxed to be effective, increasing his 1st Skill’s stun rate and, most importantly, make his 2nd Skill a reliable armor break.
- Xing Zhe’s passive also works against pure hp-scaling attackers such as Arnold and Ramagos
- Can serve as an early farmer for Aiden Hell
- Do take advantage of his 2nd Skill’s Attack Bar increase to combo into a finishing blow to his 1st Skill
- This also serves as a strong Theomars – Chasun counter in Guild Wars. Xing Zhe’s tankiness will allow him to survive at least one hit from a Theomars if targeted, giving him the opportunity to at least pop the endure passive, or outright stunning him.
