Site Review

Dungeons: Delphoi can be a viable healer in your GB10 team, especially since she can greatly reduce the risk of the boss smashing through your team when def broken. Her small heal can also come in handily to help your team survive just enough for a win. Beyond that, however, she pretty much gets outclassed by Veromos, who offers a much more consistent cleanse, better crowd control and useful DoTs against the boss. You should only be using Delphoi here as a secondary cleanser when paired with Veromos, or if you simply haven’t built him yet.

Raids: As one of the more accessible cleansers, Delphoi works well as a frontline tank. Her strong supportive stats makes her very easy to rune, while her immunity buff makes it ever so slightly safer for the rest of your team. While Delphoi doesn’t offer much in her other skills, especially since it’s pretty difficult to rune her with crit rate for the slow debuff, she still shines better than most. Compared to other cleansers, the only monster that does a better job is Lisa and Amarna. If you don’t have either of them, Delphoi is definitely worth building earlier on.

ToA: You’ll see uses for Delphoi when you’re in need of a niche cooldown reset. However, Veromos does a way better job than her, be it in auto or manual. Only use her here if you have yet to build the Dark Ifrit.

PvP: Delphoi alone isn’t much of a threat, with extremely poor damage and weak 20% heal. However, her single-target cooldown resets and AoE immunity buff makes her an excellent set-up monster to ensure your team gets the move off and eliminate whatever threat there is on the other side. Delphoi works amazingly well as a “anti-revive” counter against monsters like Theomars, Perna and Psamathe, where a well-timed cooldown reset will ensure your nuker can kill them off without giving them an additional turn. Don’t worry too much about glancing against Perna, as her cooldown reset will still activate against glancing! She also pairs well with monsters like Copper thanks to her 40% wind defense increase, while ensuring that Copper can survive long enough against any armor breakers. All in all, she’s a very strong support for PvP Offense, but only truly shines with the right teammates.

    How to Counter

As mentioned earlier, Delphoi alone doesn’t pose much of a threat, with buff strippers easily taking care of Delphoi’s immunity buff. Prioritize killing the main nuker threat on the enemy’s team and you shouldn’t have any difficulties winning. Also, most Delphois are built with defense rather than HP, so plenty of ignore-defense monsters like Bulldozer, Lushen and Katarina will work fine against her too. Just be weary off her cooldown reset on her 2nd, which can easily mess you up if you choose to bring a Theomars against her.

    Other advice:

    • Accuracy is extremely important for her cooldown reset to land. Aim for upwards of 60% if you want it to be reliable enough in your PvP Offense or RTA team
    • While her 1st Skill’s debuff only lands on a critical hit, you shouldn’t be prioritizing crit rate at all. Only get some amount on her if you’re satisfied with her speed, HP, defense, resistance and accuracy

    Editor’s Note

Delphoi’s an excellent monster for newer and older players alike. With the introduction of RTA, Delphoi’s coming back stronger than ever, with her cooldown reset easily messing up the opposing monsters. Be creative with how you use her 2nd Skill and use it wisely against the biggest threat in the enemy side. If done right, she can put a stop against pretty much any team. With the April 2017 HoH, Delphoi’s by far the best Undine to feed the skillups too, so just go for it!
