Site Review

Dungeons: Stella’s a powerful monster for plenty of speed DB10 teams. Her 3rd Skill can reach an astounding 1,260% multiplier if her total speed (yes this includes speed towers and leaders) is above 224. The attack bar reduction also makes the runs safer, while the reliable branding on her 2nd makes her one of the best branding monsters in the game, with the inclusion of silence skill which is perfect against passive reliant enemies! To top everything off, she also has a decent secondary defense break just in case your Galleon doesn’t land it. However, it needs to be said that she only excels in speed teams, she isn’t that great for early or even mid-game players. Also, she heavily requires skill ups to properly shine, so you’ll need to invest your other assassins or devilmons to make her usable here.

Raids: With her good base HP and utility, Stella’s a great choice for a nuker in raids too. She offers a rare branding that can often only be found in the Wind Homunculus or Cadiz, which requires a vast amount of resources and extreme luck to get. With maxed out skills, she offers a decent attack bar reduction and branding on low cooldowns, while dishing out good damage. Her silence skill is also good against units like Theomars that rely on passive skills for survivability.

ToA: Stella doesn’t shine here as much due to her lack of AoE attacks. Branding isn’t nearly as useful as you might hope here. Newer players need good, supportive monsters on all five slots to even clear ToA, while more experienced players will be using AoE monsters for ToAN and DoTs for ToAH. There just isn’t much of a use for Stella here.

PvP: While she does hit hard on her 3rd Skill, Stella’s lack of protection makes her worthless in most PvP content. Branding will often be removed by cleansers like Veromos, while the 4-turn cooldown on her 3rd Skill when maxed will often be useless since she’ll die before it resets. While she shines slightly better in Guild Wars Offense, Stella just isn’t a monster you’ll reliable bring in PvP.

How to Counter

You’ll almost never find a Stella in PvP, but if you do, most non-fire nukers should be able to easily take her out. She’ll definitely be built fast, so if you have Will runes or a Chloe, it’ll protect your monsters from any of her attacks too. Once you get a turn off, one hit with an attack buff or defense break should be able to eliminate her.

Other advice:

  • While Rage or Fatal will work, Swift is the most ideal set since it makes runing her a lot easier
  • You’ll need 55% accuracy in total for her to have reliable debuffs for DB10. Fortunately, she gets a 25% accuracy bonus on awakening, so it should be pretty easy to achieve that

Editor’s Note

Stella’s one of the best speed monster in DB10, largely thanks to her branding and speed-scaling on her 3rd Skill. This allows her to deal a good amount of damage while being fast, which is perfect for any speed DB10. She also synergizes extremely well with Verdehile’s 28% speed leader, which greatly reduces the speed necessary to hit 7 times on her 3rd Skill.

Additional Notes

The minimum speed requirements for the skill Blade Dance of the Reaper per hit are as follows (decimals round up):

  • <125 speed: 2 hits
  • 125 speed: 3 hits
  • 150 speed: 4 hits
  • 175 speed: 5 hits
  • 200 speed: 6 hits
  • >224 speed: 7 hits

- Accuracy on awakening
- Good base HP and decent base attack
- Powerful multiplier on 3rd Skill
- Reliable branding on 2nd Skill when maxed

- Low base defense
- Average base speed
- 1st Skill only has a 75% chance to defense break when maxed

All in all, a great monster to build, but only worth it if you have skill ups and the rune quality to do so.

She is AMAZING, if your not prepared she will one shit most monsters with her 3rd skill if skilled up and with the required speed. give her a attack boost or a defense break/brand on the enemy then even tanks will be left with little health if not just straight up one shot.

every time i face her in arena she ones shots one of my mon.
    and i finally got her

Question: How much speed does Stella need to hit all of her hits on her third skill?

Hits like a truck on fire
High HP for an attack mob
    Scales on speed

Hard to rune due to high requirements

Highest potential damage for a single target nuke. If runed properly her 3rd skill is litterally the hardest hitting single target skill in game. Needs quite late game runes though.
    Amazing in DB10 and Necro

Stella is a wonderful water nukers with great potential. Most people overlook or feed her due to the necessity of high-late game runes. Hold on to her if you get her early on. You can go on YouTube and look her up, she can do MASSIVE damage to single target. She is one of the best water nukers I have and stands well beside my Julie and Sig Marus as one of my favorites. Although she lacks the multi-target like the others, she will OHKO just about anything if you can put with Bernard or Megan if preferred. She can be a great mom to take out any tank built Mon in arena and is great in dungeons as well. I have her with violent/blade 6* runes. Has over 200 speed and deals roughly 100,000 damage with third skill. And is the first one to attack just about every time. Worth the time and effort I promise.

    To answer in full:
AOE stand for Area Of Effect, and it comes from games where spells or attacks cover a certain area. If you were within that area, you would be affected (The other type of spell or attack would be single target). Picture an explosion from a fireball or a healer with an aura around himself, healing those nearby.

People in this game have incorrectly adopted the term AOE to mean “Everyone on your team or everyone on the other team or everyone on both teams”, which isn’t what it literally means, hence the confusion by people who come across it here first.
