Site Review

Dungeons:
  • GB10 – (Rating: 6.5/10) Decently viable damage dealer in your starting GB10. Her multiple attack bar reduction is great through the trash waves, but terrible against the giant boss himself. You’ll have to be careful that her crazy number of multi-hits won’t cause the giant’s counterattack to kill her.
  • DB10 – (Rating: 7/10) Her attack bar manipulation and defense breaks are great for a starter DB10 team. With her elemental advantage and ease of obtainability,
she’s a great substitute until you get yourself a Sigmarus, the Water Phoenix from fusion.
  • NB10 – (Rating: 7/10) With her myriad of multi-hits, she’s a good starter monster for NB10. However, her lack of good damage makes her replaceable later on. Monsters such as the Liches & Lanett, the Dark Magic Knight, will do a far better job than her over here.
Scenario:

(Rating 8.5/10) Lapis is one of the best fodder farmers you can get early on. Slap any damage runes on her and she’ll clear Faimon Hard, and any decent runes will allow her to clear Faimon Hell.

Raids:
  • R5 – Not recommended. Sure, attack bar manipulation is always good, but her poor supportive stats and caviar of AoE attacks makes her unsuitable for a single-target monster like the raid boss.
  • Element Rift Beasts – (Rating: 7.0/10) A decent-hitter for the Fire Beasts. However, she requires good runes to shine here, since any subpar ones won’t be able to take out the Fire Minions.
ToA:

(Rating 7.5/10) A Despair Lapis can be amazing in ToA. With every single one of her attacks hitting multiple targets, she greatly benefits from having a Despair set over here. Her stuns and attack bar reductions work wonders for newer players.

PvP:

(Rating: 7/10) Early on in the game, Lapis is pretty much your best monster for all contents in the game. This isn’t any different for PvP, where her AoE attacks, stuns and more is pretty much your bread and butter here. However, she falls off HEAVILY once you enter mid-game, where you begin to realize her damage isn’t really that spectacular. Her poor base stats (all-round) and lack of any rare trait (such as ignore-defense) makes her an undesirable monster later. She works well at the start, but you won’t touch her with a ten-foot pole once you get better options.

How to Counter:

Lapis in Defense dies off after early-game, so you’ll never even see one later on. However, for the newer players out there, Lapis can be easily countered by wind monsters like Bernard and Shannon. She won’t do any significant damage to your wind monsters, and her poor base stats makes her an easy kill. Just make sure you don’t bring a monster like Sieq against her, since he’ll just die in a turn or two against her.

Other advice:
  • Speed should be used on her slot 2 due to her low base speed. She really needs some speed in order to have some form of movability
  • Crit Rate is fine on her slot 4 if you’re lacking good crit rate substats on your other runes
  • Try to get some accuracy so that her debuffs will land. Around 40% is enough for her usage
Editor’s Note:

Lapis is a very welcome addition as a starter monster from Com2Us. While she wasn’t great at her induction, she has since become a staple for newer players in climbing pretty much every area of the game. You can use her in all the early Scenario stages, as well as when you’re moving up the different Cairos Dungeons. She’s an amazing monster at the start, but falls off heavily once rune requirements go up and better alternatives appear. Eventually, she’ll fulfill her purpose of helping you out and can be kept safely in storage. Sad, sure, but at least she already got more use than other average Nat 3* and 4* monsters in the game.

A wonderful free gift early on. She's a carry at the start, but becomes a burden later on in the game.

    Contradicting sentences:
    1.
“Speed” should be used on her slot 2 due to her low base speed.
    2.
In Rune Recommendations SPD or ATK% in slot 2.

1st skill multi hit atk bar reduc. with decent defense.
2nd skill multi hit def. break is great for one or two enemies.
3rd skill heal and atk bar reduc. low cd

    Negatives

Speed is only 90, and health isn't that high.

Went fast and healthy despair. She is sick! Stuns well everywhere. Always catch people off guard with RTA because she attacks first – stunning and atk bar reduc.

In dungeons, she can be useful in Dragons the most because of the atk bar reduc, and stunning the earlier waves.

For TOA, she is so incredibly useful. She is great for toa 100 because you can land dots with others without giving the tower a turn.

Lapis is the monster that allowed me to clear ToaN 100% of the time after i sixed her.
    She is a CC master
Her low base speed doesn't even matter for where she's used

    Negatives

She's not very useful in PvP

Rune her Despair Revenge atk atk hp and she’ll be good to go for faimon farming and toan and toah teams. Even secret dungeons and hall of heroes.
You can do like spd cd atk for dragons or something, but she works just fine on leftover runes.

If you’re going to use Ramagos as a negative, then that’s a negative for every water monsters except for, maybe, water monsters as tanky as Ramangos. Heck, that’d be a negative for every non-tanky wind monster.
