Secret Dungeon Monsters Info
The Secret Dungeon has a total of 10 stages, each with a different number of Normal and Awakened monsters. In the final stage, there’ll be a boss version of the Secret Dungeon monster. Like other bosses, he or she can’t be stunned or oblivion, so do watch out!
Of course, the greater the number of stages you clear, the more summoning pieces you’ll get. Certain stages will also have an additional chance of giving you another piece.
Woo hoo! A useful Exclusive Secret Dungeon! Maybe Com2Us is feeling especially festive for the Chinese New Year Celebrations, but we’ve got ourselves an excellent family this time round. Why? You ask? Let’s get right on it!
The defensive terror, the Feng Yan obliterator & the Mike Tyson beat-em-up gamer, Bulldozer is well-known around these parts as one of the best and most reliable 3* nukers in the game. Few can match up to his amazing 3rd Skill ignore-defense nuke, and his 1st Skill has a very good chance of constantly stunning the enemies. Bulldozer will punch his enemies to death with his strong yet consistent damage, while his defensive capabilities allows him to survive a good hit or two from anything. He’s a famously strong counter against the Unfair Bear: Feng Yan (thanks YDCB) in Guild Wars, pretty much guaranteeing death for most Pandas out there. Make sure to build up with a Will rune off-set so that he’ll still be kicking after the 1st turn (trust me, the 1-turn stun actually matters), and he’ll serve you well for a very long while.
Another powerful addition to the family. While he doesn’t offer as much damage as his Fire-counterpart, Tractor offers a unique passive that only one other monster in the game can match, giving him complete immunity to any defense breaks. This makes him an amazing Water tank since he can survive plenty of hits from enemy threats. His 1st and 2nd Skill crowd control helps control the enemy attacks to an extent, giving you some control over the battlefield while you focus the enemy down. Most players will build him on a Triple Revenge set and bring him against monsters like Feng Yan. He’ll do a surprising amount of damage on a triple defense build, but make sure you have another damage dealer too since he won’t be providing any burst damage anytime soon.
One of Com2Us oldest tradition is to have the weakest monsters in the family as the featured Secret Dungeon or Hall of Heroes, and this time is no exception. Crane is undoubtedly the weakest monster in the family, offering very uninspiring skills and a not so useful passive. Trust me on this, but while Strange Reversible Reaction (TIL his 3rd Skill name) sounds good on paper, it’s REALLY underwhelming. I guess some newer players might use him as a Wind tank since he’ll benefit a lot more from defensive buffs. But really, just use something else. His best overall usage is to just be food for the rest of the family.
A very interesting monster right here. Theoretically, Driller will be able to hit an astronomical 1280% multiplier on his 3rd Skill, making it one of the best single-target nukes in the game. Realistically though? You’re more likely to get a 960% one instead. The last 2 hits that comes from the enemy having less MAX HP from you is something you shouldn’t expect, especially from a defensive-nuker like him. Pair him up with a reliable defense breaker and defense buffer, and Driller shouldn’t have any issues taking out almost every target in the game. Like the actual construction tool he’s named after, Driller is going to drill holes through the enemy defenses, but he requires some good team support to do so. Build him up if you’re looking for a fun yet viable monster to play with, but you might struggle to get some use out of him end-game wise due to his heavy reliance on allies to do well.
An often overlooked monster in the family, Crawler offers a very interesting passive on his 3rd Skill. Just like Mei Hou Wang, the Fire Monkey King or Jager, the Light Dragon Knight, his damage will increase with every hit. The difference this time round is that he’s coverting the damage (number of hits) to each attack instead, resetting the stacks every time he gets a move off. I recommend pairing him up with a solid defense breaker or defense buffer to maximize his damage, but he’s still going to hit rather hard without them around. Players with some spare resources can consider building him up, but most don’t really regard him as viable past mid-game.
Conclusion & Summary
The Frankenstein Family has some of the best 3* monsters in the game, with Bulldozer, Tractor & Driller having some great uses even in end-game. With Siege Battles limiting your monster pool, you might look into building them just to expand the variety in your team. Bulldozer’s really the only MUST-HAVE monster here, but everyone of them apart from Crane can be viable. With the highest potential 1st Skill multiplier in the game (540%), the Frankensteins are going to hit hard with any defensive runes under them, making them excellent brusiers to have under your belt. Also, you get to learn some obviously life-changing construction machine names when you build them, which is sure to help you the next time you’re playing some niche Pub Trivia speed round.
