Site Review
Dungeons:
- GB10 – (Rating: 7/10). The only reason why you’ll be using Olivia here is as a consistent defense buffer for Copper comps. Apart from that, newer players will get far more use out of Shannon, the Wind Pixie.
- DB10 – Not recommended. While her defense buff is certainly useful, monsters like Megan, the Water Mystic Witch or her water sister, Emma, offers far more utility while doing similar roles.
- NB10Â – Not recommended. Defensive teams in NB10 are few and far between, making Olivia’s use here rather obsolete.
Scenario:
Not recommended. As a wind monster, her best area for farming is Aiden Forest. However, she’ll take a ridiculously long time to kill off the waves. Unless you have a screw loose and decided to built her as a damage dealer (which even then, she’ll take a fair bit of time), there’s no reason why you’d want to use her as your primary fodder farmer.
Raids:Â
- R5Â – (Rating: 7/10) Some newer players have used Olivia with decent success, since her defense buff will reduce the rune requirement for earlier Raid teams. However, there’s little reason to use her past that unless you’re using her specifically for a Copper R5 team. If you’re looking for a good single-target cleanser, Olivia will do just fine. However,
most will rather go for a more team-oriented cleanser like Lisa or even Konamiya. - Element Rift Beasts – Not recommended. Again, unless you’re vying for a defensive Elemental Beast team, you shouldn’t be using Olivia.
ToA:Â
(Rating: 7.5/10) A pretty decent auto-ToAH monster, her permanent defense buff is amazing in auto, since it vastly reduces the damage your team receives. Her cleanse, while single-target, can give an ally the much needed turn they need to get a crucial move off. While some might argue that Basalt, the Dark Mammoth, will do a far better job, Olivia isn’t that bad either.
PvP:
(Rating: 9/10) Just take a look at other defense buffers in Mihael, the Light Sylphid, and you’ll realize just how useful a good permanent defense buffer is. Olivia is an amazing supportive monster for PvP Offense and World Arena, where she’ll provide the protection your team needs to survive. She’s one of the most reliable defense buffers for Copper comps. since her 2nd Skill can cleanse the Wind Living Armor if things goes south. Common comps that works with Olivia includes the famous Copper / Bulldozer comp, but you can swap one of the nukers out for a supportive monster like Delphoi or Ariel to further boost your team’s safeness.
In World Arena, Olivia’s 3-turn defense buff is infamous, especially in the Special 4* fights. Even if you bring a stripper, her low cooldown and 2nd Skill self-boost will allow her to get it up again in a very short time. Pair her with the right monsters, and you’ve got yourself a near un-killable team.
How to Counter:
First off, know that when you see an Olivia, defensive monsters will be in her team too. The best way to counter such comps is to bring ignore-defense monsters. This includes One-shot behemoths like Kahli and Bulldozer, or the nasty Lushen. Bear in mind that while she’s a support, she doesn’t have any proper sustain. If your team can tank whatever threat there is on the enemy side, you can slowly whittle them down too.
Other advice:
- Violent is the de facto end-game set to have to utilize your 2nd and 3rd Skill
- Speed should be a priority for her. The faster you are, the more buffs and Briefings you can give to your party.
Editor’s Note:
I remember back when the Neostone Agents were first released. Many were quick to dismiss Olivia as the worst of the three main Elements. However, someone, somewhere out there showcased her viability, and without any buffs, she surged forward to become one of the best 4* defense buffers in the game. She requires skill ups to truly shine, but is definitely worthy of the investment. If you already have other defense buffers like Copper and Bulldozer built, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be building her either.
Permanent AoE defense buff
Single target cleanse + extra turn
Nice base defenses
Great leader skill
Glancing not 100% reliable
Base HP could be better
Best Def buffer in the game!!!
GB10 perma def buff
NB10 support
Great GW support for all def-based teams
A bit of a one trick pony (def, def, def)
Very susceptible to any ignore def attacks
Wow, lots of bad advice.. Before you feed this mon you may want to read this… First of all, there are only 11 AOE Def buffers in the game so discarding any of them is a bit short sighted. And, this is the ONLY mon in the game with a 3 turn def buff on a 3 turn counter. This alone makes her extremely useful in a lot of areas of the game. With Violent runes she will keep your entire team def buffed full time. She replaces Shannon on all non-speed based DB10 teams. She is a multi attacker so she also works for NB10. Her leader skill (33% def in GW) means she is a perfect setup for def nukers like Copper or Dozer – better even than Immensity since she has the leadership skill and can vio proc into an immediate full ATB boost for the nuker to deliver his nuke. She may not be the best Neostone Agent, but she is a great support mon to have in the arsenal. This is a seriously useful mon..
Accelerates the party, decelerates the enemy
Guild war defense++ and defense++ buffs are nice bonus
Cleanse is always welcome
VERDICT: Multiple attacks + Party acceleration = great for Necropolis team
Defense buff is quite common
Cleansing, defense-boosting, accelerator.
Perfect for necro, useful everywhere else.
If you’re facing hard-hitting water foes, her cleanse lets her replace Velajuel to a degree.
Food for Emma or Lisa
Not very usefull
Food in my opinion
The best defense! kinginamers!
It's the best monster i've ever seen!
For me this is the best neostone agent in the universe, Defense is the key to victory. You should have this monster! Madafaka Manigga! Gz to all summoners who got this hero!
Defense great!
Great Defense!
think about the potential when u build her on violent and she is maxed up.
She uses third skill->Violent procs(2turn cd on third skill)->Uses second skill to give herself another turn(1turn CD on third skill)->use first skill->Violent procsagain(dr resets)(third skill is ready)->Use third skill again->be on defense.
Imean this could be endless if u are lucky with the vio procs
Good cleanse
AoE Defense Buff
No Heal
Konamya cleanse is better
AoE Defense buff is common and more easy to skill up (Talc, Shannon, etc...)
Honestly, i got her from a mystical scroll that I buyed from the island market, and i’m feeling a lot of regrets.
Her water sister is much better, and Olivia is gonna make a real good devilmon for her.
I got her awakened from a Mystical Scroll and she doesn’t seem that good for anything :/
Skills are great in Arena!
No Aoe
Best Guild Support!
