Site Review
Dungeons: Shannon is one of the best supportive monsters for early-game players in GB10. With her elemental advantage against the monsters in the dungeon, 3-turn attack AND defense buff and a couple useful debuffs, she fits in just about any team. Defense buffs are crucial in ensuring your team can tank a hit, while her AoE slow and glancing greatly reduces the damage output enemies will deal. However, her poor base stats and lack of damage prevents her from continuing her role past mid-game content. As you transition towards faster teams, Shannon will become obsolete here.
Raids: While there are a surprisingly high proportion of Natural 2* monsters being relevant in raids, namely Konamiya and Colleen, Shannon isn’t one of them. While she can be somewhat useful in the early R1 or R2, her extremely poor base stats harshly negates her ability to survive anywhere above R3. Furthermore, defense buffers aren’t really that great in raids thanks to the boss’s constant strips, making her pretty useless here. The little Wind Pixie just won’t be that useful for most team compositions in raids.
ToA: For the majority of newer players, their early GB10 teams are pretty much identical to their ToAN teams. You’ll definitely be making use of Shannon here, where her supportive capability to greatly reduce the damage taken in your team will allow you to climb higher than you can imagine. Shannon is perfect for first-timers climbing ToA, where if built on Despair can be a surprisingly effective ToA CC monster thanks to her AoE slow. However, like GB10, she is pretty much replaced the moment you’re looking to increase the speed of your ToA teams.
PvP: Once again, Shannon only shines in early-game content, where the lack of more complex skills like buff removers aren’t as prevalent. Her double buffs works wonders for most teams here, but only if you’re against similarly ranked players. You can use her as a tankier attack buffer than Sieq, but her lack of damage means you often need to pair her with a strong damage dealer to ensure you get a win off. Past early-game arena, she’s pretty much useless due to her poor base stats unable to keep up with stronger and more potent monsters.
How to Counter
Early-game players will mostly find her buffs to be her most annoying asset. You should try to get buff strippers like Belladeon to remove the buffs on whatever nuker is present in the enemy’s defense. Prioritize eliminating the nuker if Shannon already uses her 3rd Skill. If not, focus on taking her out first. Her poor base stats means she’s really easy to kill.
Other advice:
- You’ll need around 45% accuracy for her debuffs to be effective in GB10 and ToA
- Stack as much HP as you can on Shannon, her poor bulk means she won’t be able to take a hit when she’s defense broken
Editor’s Note
Shannon is a huge asset for early-game players, where she’ll likely be your first defense buffer in your team. Her role for this trumps the more relevant Megan early on, and will likely be a staple monster of yours for almost all content. However, her viability drops as you progressively build more and more monsters. She doesn’t get that much use after early-game, so if she works just fine as a 5 star monster in your ToA and GB10 team, you can leave her as that. If not, she’s definitely a worthwhile 6 star monster for early-game players.

Patch Notes
Updated 2018.1.30
- Stat Change on Awakened MAX 6* (HP): 7245 -> 8730
- Stat Change on Awakened MAX 6* (ATK): 604 -> 505
- Stat Change on Awakened MAX 6* (DEF): 505 -> 560
- Amazing 3-turn attack and defense buff for the entire team
- AoE slow on 2nd Skill
- Good base speed of 111
- Very easy to skill-up
- Poor base stats due to her being a Natural 2 star
- Low damage (you won’t be using her for damage though)
first spell is used the most and works if critical hit lands. So why no suggestion for 4 run to be a CR%?
Really suggestions here are pretty bad for what the monsters abilities and power is.
NM thought I was on Delphoi. DOH!

One of the best early game monsters there is.
Will take you through Giants as well as the majority of Dragons and ToA.
Amazing when paired with Bernard
- She increases attack power and Defense of ally mons every 4 turns with her third skill
AND
- Decreases enemy attack speed with 2 skill (both with INCREDIBLE accuracy!)
- FAST
- EASY to level up her skills since she is so common.
- Great with bernard!
She is JUST support!
Not a farmer.
barely has any attack.
I am mad I waited so long to get her!
Don’t take my word for it. Go to the dungeon, tap monsters used and look at what the top 15 monsters are used most successfully of the lvl 10 levels.
Out of the 9 levels she shows up in 7 as a top 15 successful mon contributor.
I have her runed despair/focus with speed/Hp%/Defense% looking for substats of speed accuracy, hp, and defense
This probably should not be your first 6 star but she should be one of your first 6 star support mons. (even 5 star she rocks)
Pair her with a Speed and or stun team and game over.
A few Mons that work well with Shannon that I uses are:
Bernard (wind griffon)
Bernard/shannon is one of the best combos in the game! typically if you play shannon you’ll want bernard with her.
Tyron (water Sylph)
Lushen (wind Joker)
Verad (water dragon)
Perna (water pheonix)
Great for Carios Dungeons.
Poor HP
A must keep. Great for Carios Dungeon!
